Summary

Known as the "United Nations of Music", MUSEXPO, held from April 29th-May 2nd, hosts a variety of industry professionals from around the world at the W Hotel and SIR Studios in Hollywood, CA.



MUSEXPO is only accepting submissions though Sonicbids and will select at least 10 artists to showcase at MUSEXPO 2012.



This is your chance to perform in front of an exclusive group of high-level international music and media professionals, including Martin Kierszenbaum of Interscope.



Previous showcased artists include The Temper Trap, Katy Perry, Ida Maria and the Teddybears./n/nMUSEXPO's deadline has been extended to Friday, February 10th. This will be the last chance to submit for a showcase slot at MUSEXPO 2012.

Known as the "United Nations of Music", MUSEXPO is one of the most influential conferences in the music industry. From April 29th-May 2nd a variety of industry professionals including label presidents, A&R and publishing executives, radio programmers, film/TV/interactive music supervisors, talent bookers/promoters, and press and new media executives from around the world will converge on the W Hotel and SIR Studios in Hollywood, CA, to learn about and discuss new trends and topics in the music industry, and to discover the hottest emerging artists.


MUSEXPO is only accepting submissions though Sonicbids and will select at least 10 artists to showcase at MUSEXPO 2012. This is your chance to perform in front of an exclusive group of high-level international music and media professionals, some of which will include:



  • Martin Kierszenbaum – President of A&R (Pop & Rock) & International Operations, Interscope Records; Songwriter (Lady Gaga, Robyn, Keane, t.A.T.u.)

  • Steve Schnur – Worldwide Head of Music & Marketing, EA Games

  • Michael Chugg – Founder, Chugg Entertainment (Alice Cooper, Dolly Parton, Elton John, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill)

  • Craig Kallman – Chairman/CEO, Atlantic Records Group

  • Neil Lawi – General Manager, WWE Music Group

  • Ron Spaulding – President, Fontana Distribution

  • Jody Gerson – Co-President, Sony/ATV Music Publishing

There will be only alternating showcases with none overlapping the other to ensure maximum impact and visibility for every showcasing artist. All requests go through a rigorous selection process by the globally respected artist discovery and development firm, A&R Worldwide, and MUSEXPO staff members. Genres preferred include rock, alternative, pop, hip-hop and singer/songwriter.


Artists who have showcased at MUSEXPO since its inception back in 2005 that have gone on to secure recording, publishing, management and music placement contracts include: The Temper Trap (Infectious Records), Soshy (Sony Music Int'l), Evermore (Sire Records/Warner Music), The Dares (Jive Records), Pilot Speed (Wind-Up), Goldenhorse (FKP Scorpio, Germany), Skybombers (Worldwide Management and Booking Agent), Bloodpit (SonyBMG, Germany), Shifter (Boo! Management - Hillary Duff), The Infadels (Pontiac commercial in Canada), Andrew Paul Woodworth (Rodeostar, Germany), and Dead Letter Circus (Warner Bros. Australia) to name a few. In addition, U.S. and international major label buzz artists such as Katy Perry, A Fine Frenzy, Laura Izibor, Ida Maria, Embrace, Teddybears, FrankMuzik, One Night Only, Erik Hassle, Capra, and others have showcased at MUSEXPO.

All artists who submit will automatically be eligible for a significant discount on MUSEXPO registration (normally $595-$795). All selected artists will need to have a management representative/s registered to attend MUSEXPO 2012 in order to be confirmed. Production and marketing costs are not included.
