ABOUT MUSICFESTNW

With the departure of the North By Northwest music festival (NXNW) from Portland, Oregon, Willamette Week (Portland's Pulitzer Prize-winning alternative newsweekly and longtime co-producer of NXNW) teamed up with members of the local and regional music scene to create a new, non-profit, music festival in 2001: MusicfestNW. The goal was to create a festival, made by and for the Northwest music community that would be at once vital and commercially viable. The first six years of the annual September festival has made MusicfestNW synonymous with the region's best music and live music venues.

MusicfestNW is sponsored by Willamette Week, Cricket, Comcast, and Sonicbids.
