Summary

Want the chance to perform at colleges across the country? NACA provides an excellent opportunity for colleges & universities, booking agencies, and self-represented artists to gather together, network, showcase, and exhibit in a trade show booth and discuss potential bookings. Artists that performed at the 2013 NACA National Convention performed in front of 2000 college student buyers from over 400 colleges and universities. Applying for an NACA showcase is more than just a one-shot effort at trying to get a gig. It’s joining an organization and being a part of something that lasts. Founded in 1960, the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) is the nation’s largest collegiate organization for campus activities.

How much does it work? cost? All showcasing artists are selected by a review committee and NACA cannot guarantee showcases. There are application fees, and if you are selected by the committee to showcase, there are performance fees. Below is an estimate of the financial commitments. Please read all the info very carefully and let us know if you have any questions.

To have your submission reviewed you need to submit the following:

  • NACA Membership: You must join as a member or be represented by an agency or firm that is a member. NACA Associate membership fees are:

    • National Self-represented or solo artist: $575

    • National agency or other company: $758

  • Exhibit Booth Fee: $1274 which includes a full delegate pass for one person to attend the entire 4-day event. (Even without a showcase you can be at the event to network, promote and market!)

  • Application Fee: $95

  • If you are selected there is a $715-$935 Performance Fee (depending on showcase category)

Yes, this is quite an investment, and it may not be for everyone. But if you are selected, you have a great opportunity to recoup this investment with bookings that may be generated as a result of your showcase.

All payments listed above MUST be submitted no later than the application deadline. Your agent (if you have one) may have already submitted membership and exhibit payment; please check with them BEFORE you submit your showcase application in our drop box. If membership and booth payment is not submitted to NACA by you or your agent your submission will not be reviewed and you will forfeit your submission fee. You will also receive this information in your auto-confirmation email once your on-line submission is received.

Okay. After you submit, then what?

A selection committee consisting of student talent buyers and professional staff from a variety of colleges and universities will meet to review all applications. Showcase selection results will be announced on the NACA Web site no later than Oct. 23.
