Summary

The National Women's Music Festival, in its 32nd year, is the oldest running women's music festival in North America. The festival is looking for women artists of all stages. Only women performers will have spots on the day and main stages. The SheRocks stage welcomes all band members\side musicians of a women-fronted band.



The festival is located on the campus of Illinois State University in Normal, IL and will be held July 5-8, 2007. Throughout the festival, 35-40 artists will play on 4 stages. There are 5 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists. Last year, 1,000 people attended the festival! Selected artists will be compensated for their performance. The festival also provides lodging.



Past performers include Holly Near, Cris Williamson, Tret Fure, Ferron, Kate Clinton, Suzanne Westenhoefer, Cheryl Wheeler, Margie Adam, Alix Olson, Ember Swift, Deidre McCalla, Karen Williams, Lisa Koch, Wishing Chair, Lisa Yvonne Ferraro, Melissa Ferrick, Natalia Zuckerman, Nedra Johnson, Jamie Anderson, Vickie Shaw, Erika Luckett, and many others.
