15th Annual North Beach Jazz Festival

North Beach Jazz Fest features over 200 performers during this 7-day festival (with 4 additional night shows) designed to "represent the soul of San Francisco". Taking place at traditional and non-traditional venues throughout San Francisco, over 50,000 people attend the festival, including its free and all ages events including the two days in Washington Square, the Great American Music Hall shows and many of the "Jazz on Grant" events.

North Beach Jazz Fest has purposely maintained a distinctly grassroots, homegrown feel by consistently featuring local talent, and incorporating the neighborhood's unique jazz culture into the festivities.

Selected artists will receive up to $2,500, depending on the artist. At least one Sonicbids artist will be selected.

Previous performers include jazz legends Mike Clark & Paul Jackson, Poncho Sanchez, Carlos Santana, Bobby Hutcherson, Carl Craig, DJ Snowboy, Pharoah Sanders, Los Hombres Calientes, Rebirth Brass Band, Kermit Ruffins, Bitter:Sweet, The Breakestra and so many more.

"This is definitely not your father's jazz festival," says founder Alistair Monroe. "The North Beach Jazz Fest is about hosting a great music in one of the city's most dynamic and storied neighborhoods. We bring people together to celebrate the cultural heritage of this neighborhood and this city."
