Summary

Set in the beautiful rolling hills of Southeastern Ohio, the 6th Annual Nelsonville Music Festival is a three-day festival that celebrates music and local artistry of the region. A minimum of one Sonicbids artist will be invited to perform and all artists will be compensated for their performance. Previous performers include Willie Nelson, Swell Season, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Avett Brothers, Akron/Family, Loretta Lynn, and many more./n/nSet in the beautiful rolling hills of Southeastern Ohio, the 6th Annual Nelsonville Music Festival is a three-day festival that celebrates music and local artistry of the region. Taking place May 13-15, 2011, the festival will feature about 40 artists and is expected to draw more than 5000 fans. A minimum of one Sonicbids artist will be invited to perform and all artists will be compensated for their performance. Acts will also be provided hospitality and may also sell their merchandise and retain 90% of the proceeds.

Willie Nelson, Swell Season, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Avett Brothers, Akron/Family, Loretta Lynn, Man Man, Todd Snider, Mudhoney, Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears, Billy Joe Shaver, T-Model Ford, Michael Hurley, Jolie Holland, Givers, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Brave Combo, Leon Redbone, Derailers, Spikedrivers, Ragbirds, Drakkar Sauna, and on and on. The festival has drawn coverage from major regional newspapers, as well as Pitchfork, Paste, Magnet, donewaiting.com, cringe.com, and many other.

They are seeking genres Rock & Roll, Folk, Alt-Country, Weirdo, Jazz, Classic Country, World, and other similar styles.
