Summary
NewMusicWest is a chance for emerging new artists and bands to showcase their talents to some of the top industry professionals in North America and even around the world. Once a year, Vancouver is invaded by large numbers of Managers, Publicists, Label Reps, A&R, Media, and all sorts of music folk.
This year's event will be held November 10-14 at more than 20 venues around Vancouver - with more than 200 showcase slots available. Past event performers include Matthew Good, The Flaming Lips, Liz Phair, Nickelback, Hot Hot Heat, Sam Roberts and My Morning Jacket.
In 2003, NewMusicWest had over 40 A&R reps from labels such as Sony, Universal, EMI, and many more from Canada, the US, and around the world. With 5 nights, 25 venues, and 250+ bands, there's new talent just waiting to be discovered.
This year marks the 13th year of NewMusicWest - an event that has had past keynote address by artist such as Matthew Good, Jason Miller (HOB), Chad Kroeger, Marilyn Manson and Gene Simmons.
All genres accepted.
