Summary

The Nimbus School of Recording Arts is offering an opportunity for artists/bands to receive free recording time for a minimum of three songs in their world-class studios, located in Vancouver, BC. Four Sonicbids artists/bands will be selected to perform at a showcase event and industry meet and greet on April 2, 2012, in Vancouver at The Media Club.

Students enrolled in the Music Production program at Nimbus will select one artist/band from the showcase performers. The winning artist(s) will receive complimentary recording time at Nimbus for a minimum of three songs. At the studentsÂ’ discretion, the artist may receive additional recording time.

Also at the studentsÂ’ discretion, more than one showcasing artist may be selected to receive a similar recording package. Of the 12 artists that have appeared at the last three showcases, 6 have been awarded free studio time!

Selected artists will be notified by February 29th, 2012 and need to be available at the recording times offered. In addition to consideration for the April 2nd showcase event, all submissions will be reviewed for future recording projects by Nimbus staff and students.

Long and McQuade is a proud sponsor of Nimbus Showcase Events, which occur twice a year. Next event is October 1st, 2012.

Nimbus School of Recording Arts was founded by legendary producers Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, Peter Gabriel) and GGGarth Richardson (Rage Against the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mudvayne), and leading music educator Kevin Williams (Hot Sole).
