Summary
Nine Mile Records is looking for new and/or established artists to add to its roster.
Theyre looking for 1 - 3 new artists for releases with a focus on indie rock, indie folk and roots-based music (Americana, singer-songwriter, traditional, etc). They are open to full bands or solo artists. It is important to note that there is an emphasis will be given to female artists.
Selected artists will be added to the NMR roster for their next release and typically signed to a one-year contract. Nine Mile Records is a full-service label with distribution and promotion in the U.S. and Europe. Their representatives attend several major conferences a year to promote their artists (CMJ, SXSW, Americana Music Association, NEMO, etc), and mail promotional compilations to radio stations, promoters and retailers featuring their artists. NMR also provides artist development services, publicity, licensing opportunities and some booking services, depending on the needs of their individual artists.
