Summary

Northside extended their deadline, but this is your LAST CHANCE to submit to this independent music, film and art festival in New York City. The event takes place at over 25 venues in the Williamsburg and Greenpoint neighborhoods of Brooklyn, and curated by dozens of the most influential NYC-based record labels, blogs, radio stations and independent show promoters including BrooklynVegan and Brooklyn Bodega. Surfer Blood, Sharon Van Etten, and DOM have been added to this year's lineup, which already includes Guided By Voices, Beirut, Wavves, Twin Sister, Deer Tick, and many more.

At least four Sonicbids artists will be selected for this opportunity./n/nNorthside has extended their submission deadline to Friday, May 6 at 11:59pm EST.

Northside is a four-day celebration of New York City's independent music, film and art scene, taking place at over 25 venues in the Williamsburg and Greenpoint neighborhoods of Brooklyn. Dozens of the most influential NYC-based record labels, blogs, radio stations and independent show promoters including BrooklynVegan, FREEwilliamsburg, and Brooklyn Bodega, are being invited to curate their own showcases to be hosted at the area's many music venues. Artists will be paid a standard percentage of ticket sales after the venue has recouped its costs for the evening. At least four Sonicbids artists will be selected for this opportunity.



Just Announced: Surfer Blood, Sharon Van Etten, DOM, Theophilus London, Mount Eerie, and Iceage (making their U.S. debut) have been added to the Northside lineup.

Other acts confirmed for this year include Guided By Voices, Beirut, Deek Tick (performing as Deervana), Wavves, The Babies, Javelin, Twin Sister, Delicate Steve, Holiday Shores, Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt!, and many, many, more.



Venues range in capacity from 1,000+ spaces to 100-cap bars. Once the artists are chosen, The L Magazine be in touch with the details. All genres will be considered.



Past performers at Northside include The Tallest Man on Earth, ?uestlove, Fang Island, Titus Andronicus, Wavves, Fiery Furnaces and The Hold Steady.
