Nostalgia Days - Zion, Illinois

Nostalgia Days Festival, held on June 24th-25th, 2011 in Zion, IL, is a one day festival that brings back the days of classic car. Since 1987, the festival draws over 500 antique and custom automobiles and 40,000 people who come to watch them drive in the much anticipated, 'Sheridan Road Cruize'. It is looking to book street performers and other non-musical performances (magicians, jugglers, circus acts, etc) to participate the in the festival. Artists will be compensated with an hourly wage. Nostalgia Days was the brainchild of Chris Szymanski. Several years ago, when he was affiliated with the old Zion Business Association, he suggested that in conjunction with the then Annual Gypsy Days Sidewalk Sale that an antique and classic car show be held along with various activities relating to nostalgia. Various members of the association supported Chris’s idea and the Nostalgia Days Festival was born.



Today, people line up and down the Sheridan Road in their blankets and lawn chairs for the areas’s best food vendors, car related vendors, children’s games, a Live DJ, live radio broadcasts, live entertainment.
