Summary

The Ontario Council of Folk Festivals (OCFF) conference is now accepting showcase submissions for its 21st annual conference. There are 24 spots available for showcases that will take place Friday, October 12 and Saturday, October 13, 2007.

The following genres are accepted: folk, roots, blues, traditional, world, Aboriginal, Francophone, Celtic, spoken word and electro-acoustic. Other culturally diverse artists (folk and otherwise) are welcome to apply. The showcases reflect a very broad spectrum of “folk” music.

The OCFF Conference is the key event for Ontario's folk, roots and traditional music community. Musicians, presenters, festival organizers, artistic directors, fundraisers, media representatives and many others who contribute to the health and vitality of the folk, roots and traditional community gather for a weekend of music, networking, discussion, exchange and fun.

The 21st annual OCFF conference will be held at the London Convention Centre in London, Ontario, Canada, October 11 - 14, 2007. Speakers, seminars, roundtable discussions, informal meetings, performer showcases and the best jam sessions outside of the festival circuit make this conference an essential, inspiring experience for attendees.

All conference participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation. Applicants selected to showcase will receive a significantly reduced conference rate, if they wish to register.

Please note: OCFF one-year Individual Memberships are availble for purchase with your submission (for non-OCFF members). For other membership opportunities, and a list of benefits, please see our website.
