Summary
The 2nd Annual Ontario Independent Music Awards is presented by one of the original producers of the highly successful Toronto Independent Music Awards. It is an excellent way for independent artists from the province of Ontario and the rest of Canada, to receive exposure and recognition for their hard work. There is even a category for Best International artist for performers from outside Canada to receive exposure in Canada.
The event is attended by many local media outlets and has garnered a lot of attention in the music industry. The 2nd Annual Ontario Independent Music Awards will be held on October 16, 2008 at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto. The awards are about integrity, honesty and motivated solely by passion for indie music.
Judges include members of the Ontario media as well as label reps and influential members of the radio and retail industries. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Toronto Wildlife Centre.
All nominees will be notified by September 15, 2008 and will receive complimentary tickets to the show.
