Summary

On New Year's Eve, downtown Oklahoma City becomes one large, fantastic venue for visual and performing arts when the Arts Council of Oklahoma City presents Opening Night! Artists ranging from musicians, dancers, singers, and jugglers to painters and poets will crowd the streets, bars, and venues to play for a crowd of 60,000 people.

Selected artists receive:

  • Some compensation TBD

  • Artists may sell merchandise

  • Provided sound equipment varies by venue, please state any required equipment

  • Sets are typically 30-45min but artists may play multiple

All performers should be local and reside within 50 miles of Oklahoma City. The event runs from 7PM-12AM and selected acts may be invited to play multiple venues through the night if they choose. All performances must be family friendly. The promoter is not interested in metal or hard rock acts. Though compensation is offered, it will be minimal as The Arts Council of Oklahoma City is a nonprofit organization. The Council can provide tax vouchers for artists but does not directly cover travel expenses.
