About the venue:

Old Curtis St., capacity 230, was once known as old Hogan’s bar at the corner of 20th and Curtis. Pete Razatos bought the venue, and even though his associates insisted that the restaurant be named The Parthenon, and that it specialize in feta flavored snacks; Pete decided on the name Old Curtis St. bar. Why he chooses to serve Mexican food remains a mystery up to this day.

In 2004, Pete got some help from his son Kosta Razatos, who after a long stint in Chicago working as a Futures trader, decided he wanted a more stable profession and moved back to Colorado to help out in the family business. He soon started to transform the place from a restaurant into a nighttime venue, where John Baxter started booking shows here and there in late 2006. Baxter took over all booking and show management in December of 2007, where he remains today.
