Olio Festival 2010

Olio Festival is a reflection of the diversity of both the artists and the city of Vancouver, founded by three seasoned music industry professionals. At least 15 Sonicbids artists are guaranteed to perform during the event, four of which will most likely be chosen before April. The festival will offer emerging artists $150 and a wristband for each member. All submitters who have a music video will also be considered for their video contest with headliner./n/nIn its second year, Olio Festival is a reflection of the diversity of both the artists and the city, founded by three seasoned music industry professionals. It is taking place September 23 - 26, 2010 during one of the most amazing months of the year in Vancouver, BC, Canada. At least 15 Sonicbids artists are guaranteed to perform during the event, four of which will most likely be chosen before April. Headliners will also be announced as they are confirmed.



Compensation for emerging artists is $150 and a wristband for each member, and all headliners are being purchased through their agents. All submitters who have a music video will also be considered for their video contest with headliner. Throughout the festival, emerging artists will be paired, as support acts, with more established acts. Discount hotels are available for emerging artists.



It features a "neighborhood-crawl" format that is clearly demonstrated on the web site, and includes a variety of all ages, 19+, indoor and outdoor events. Sponsors have included: Red Bull and The Georgia Straight, with several more on the burner.
