A Music Event With A Message!
One Mic Stand is an unscripted artist competition segment series premiering on NXSTV. One Mic Stand's goal is to find amazing talent and expose them to our community in the most potent way possible! Each week, artists showcase their stuff and tell their story. Elite guest judges critique and score their performance. The talent with the highest overall score is awarded the Title Crown One Mic Stand - Winner Of The Week and an award signifying their win. OMS offers great prizes, recognition and exposure. But, we take it a step further.
OMS also uses this dynamic platform to promote the fundamental importance of nonviolence. Guest speakers, vignettes and more helps bring this message to life! OMS will be filmed before a live audience, for ten weeks beginning: Thursday, October 10th 2013. Filming will begin promptly at 9PM. One Mic Stand is open to all genres of music, talent must be 21+.
