Summary

Open Mic Scout is a podcast that conducts studio quality multi-track recordings of live open mic performances in the Portland, Oregon area. The show features a combination of live music and poetry recordings. Depending on the open mic, each podcast will run about one to two hours in length. Open Mic Scout was founded by E Einowski, who is also the founder and editor-in-chief of WikiRecording, the free online guide to audio recording that anyone can edit. He prides himself on promoting community in music and teaching artists how to approach and adapt to a fast changing music industry through education, creative marketing, and respecting the listener.

Open Mic Scout is now accepting submissions for their Featured Artist Podcast. They usually host 1-3 shows each month. The featured artist podcast will showcase one song and a short “about the band” segment, to be played at the beginning of each show that month. A photo of each performing artist and their website (when possible) is included in each podcast as well. Open Mic Scout’s listener base is full of people looking for something new and exciting. This is a great gig to showcase your open mic performance!
