They often feature acoustic and solo acts, but also feature larger bands with drum set and electric instruments. They book primarily regional acts, but are interested in booking touring and international performers as well.

Selected artists receive:

• $30 guarantee plus share of the door after minimum of 20 seats are filled


• Merch sales are strongly encouraged


• Set of 15-20 mins for openers and 60-80 minutes for headliners
  
• A PA system is provided, and a backline is available upon request

Established in February 2011, the Opera Bakery Cafe opened for business with a simple mandate: to host and record independent music. At the Opera, they encourage intimate, interactive and fun shows that connect to eager ears. Live at the Opera has played host to The Liptonians, Jean-Paul de Roover, Dining Dead and other emerging acts.

Live at Opera also runs a podcast under the same name. Selected artists may be included in the podcast, but this listing is strictly for the live music series.
