Summary

The 11th Annual Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival will feature music in 20 clubs, Friday night Blues Cruise and 4 outdoor stages with free all day and evening concerts in beautiful downtown Orangeville, Ontario May 30th through June 2nd, 2013. This four-day event attracts over 33,000 people to the most exciting and loved music festival north of Toronto, which includes workshops and number of club gigs around town.

5 slots have been reserved for Sonicbids artists and Sonicbids is the only digital submission platform for Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival 2012. All artists will be compensated, and fees will be negotiated upon booking.

Most acts participating are independent artists. Accepted genres include blues, jazz, Latin, acoustic, blues/rock, gospel funk and soul. Workshops have been everything from drum circles to "jam with a pro."

Past performers have included award winning musicians such as: W.C. Clark, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, David Gogo, Downchild, Garrett Mason, Monkey Junk, Jane Bunnett, Hilario Duran, Jill Barber, Amanda Martinez, Emilie Clair Barlow, former Muddy Waters drummer Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, Rob McConnell Tentet, African Guitar Summit, Joe Sealy, Jack DeKeyzer, Pat Labarbara, Fathead and David Wilcox.

The event is sponsored by the merchants of Downtown Orangeville, Government of Ontario, The Ontario Trillium Foundation, TD Canada Trust and RE/MAX.
