Summary

The 6th annual Orangeville Blues & Jazz Festival will feature 4 outdoor stages with free all day concerts in beautiful downtown Orangeville Ontario from June 5th - 8th, 2008. This four-day event attracts over 18,000 people to the most exciting and loved music festival north of Toronto, which includes workshops and number of club gigs around town.



Past performers have included award winning musicians such as Jane Bunnett, former Muddy Waters drummer Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, Rob McConnell Tentet, African Guitar Summit, Joe Sealy, Jack DeKeyzer, Pat Labarbara and Fathead.



Most acts participating are independent artists. 10 slots are available. Accepted genres include blues, jazz, Latin, acoustic, folk, blues/rock, gospel, funk and soul. All artists will be compensated. Compensation amount will be negotiated upon selection.



The event is sponsored by the merchants of Downtown Orangeville, Government of Ontario and RE/MAX.
