Summary

The Ozark Blues Society’s 5th Annual Blues in the Natural State Festival takes place in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on Saturday, July 15, 2006. Each year the festival features the best of national, regional and local blues artists. This year’s all day event will be held on two stages at George’s Majestic Lounge in downtown Fayetteville, AR. Although we will still be adding headliners between now and the festival date, we have already confirmed performances with Michael Burks, Coco Montoya, and The Cate Brothers.

The society is holding one performance slot for a Sonicbids band or solo/duo artist to play a 45-minute set. The performance will be compensated (at least $50/player), and food and room(s) will be provided.

The chosen band or solo/duo act will be in the blues, blues/rock or R&B genre. Although the festival does feature native Arkansans in their lineup, the Sonicbids act can be from any state in the U.S., or any international band who will be currently touring in the U.S. at festival-time.

Sponsors include: George’s Majestic and DogHouse Recording & Production in Little Rock, AR with many more to be announced.

This is a great opportunity for exposure. The festival is widely promoted including links to the festival from about 100 websites, and coverage in the state newspapers and entertainment magazines and newsletters. Our radio station sponsor gives our artist airplay leading up to the event.
