Now entering its ninth year, the two-day Park Rock Fest is the largest rock concert in Southern Maryland. The event boasts five venues with multiple stages, all hosting non-stop music. At least four Sonicbids members are guaranteed to perform. Negotiable compensated will be offered to all artists. Artists in a wide variety of genres are encouraged to submit to this event. Around 10 bands play each venue, reeling in close to 120 acts throughout the two days. There are two food court areas where vendors will satisfy the hunger and thirst of artists and attendees.
The festival, taking place at the Chancellors Run Regional Park, is working with various record labels to increase their contact with fans. They promote with post card flyers, big posters, radio advertising, TV advertising, community calendars and news coverage.
New for 2011 is a huge carnival midway to attract all ages and keep them around for all the bands.
