Are you driven? Peacedriven, that is. If your passion for world peace also shows in your music, you could be the recipient of the 2nd Peacedriven Songwriting Award.

Founded by the service initiative "Peacedriven.com," the international contest is searching for the song that shows the most drive for peace. Be it drive for peace in the world, peace in your home or school, or inner peace; you decide, we'll listen! The genre is not what matters. The message and melody are what counts.

A panel of music industry professionals and social activists will judge entries. The judges will pick a winner based on originality, melody, composition and lyrics. The winner will receive $300 in cash to be used for recording, equipment or other expenses. Additionally, the winner and 10 finalists will be featured on Peacedriven.com, the hub for peace news and activism.

Sponsors of the Peacedriven Songwriting Award include Peacedriven.com and the Red Posts Project. Peacedriven.com is funded by YouthVenture. The Red Posts Project, which works for school violence prevention, is the recipient of several awards, including the Doublemint Grant from Venus and Serena Williams, and the National Visionary Award from StreetLaw, Inc.
