About Peace & Love

Peace & Love was formed as an association in 1999 in connection with the first Peace & Love festival. Initially, we worked to combat violence and racism in Borlänge and Dalarna. This work evolved into creating events with a positive message of diversity, fellowship and understanding. Peace & Love is not attached to a particular religious or political institution.

Its vision is to be more than just a regular festival. It sees Peace & Love as something much larger and more important than that. Peace & Love will be a five day long festival with a forum, and an annual meeting place for people of all ages and of all cultures and nationalities. Peace & Love is also working to create conditions for change and development. It cooperates with various organizations such as Greenpeace and Amnesty. Its aim is to support them financially when possible.

Apart from the festival, Peace & Love also consists of the non-profit organization Peace & Love Foundation, the artist agency Peace & Love Artists and our very own café, Café Peace & Love.
