The Performing Arts Exchange is a four-day conference that creates opportunities for networking and transacting business in the performing arts. PAE is the regional performing arts marketplace for artists, artist manager and presenters in the South, East and Gulf Coasts. PAE 2009 will be on the Norfolk waterfront, the cultural heart of Virginia. In its 32nd year, the PAE continues to allow high quality artists to:

  • Showcase in front of Venue decision makers
  • Network with presenters and other artists
  • Increase their understanding of the performing arts market
  • Foster professional development through seminars, workshops, and roundtable discussions with experts

Please thoroughly review showcasing guidelines before you continue at pae.southarts.org

Whether you are an established artist trying to connect with new venues or an emerging artist entering into the touring industry, showcasing at the Performing Arts Exchange is a great way to have your work seen by over 200 venue decision makers as they decide which artists to book for their upcoming seasons. For many performing arts venues, PAE is the primary opportunity to see live work that they would like to bring to their communities. Showcases at PAE raise artistsÂ’ visibility and are an integral part of the conference.

Please note: There is a $500 showcasing fee which covers basic tech. If awarded a showcase you must be represented in the Exhibit hall for the duration of the conference. For more information contact Sage Crump. Artists must read and agree to the PAE Conference Etiquette form and NAMPA Guidelines for Ethical Bahavior before submitting. To get the most out of your PAE experience, visit the New Colleagues section of the website.
