ABOUT THE FESTIVAL:

Philadelphia has always been a city with a rich musical tradition. However,Philly has never been host to a true, modern day, annual music “festival”. In 2009, the Philadelphia Film and Music Festival (“Philly F/M” for short) was created to fill that void. Spanning four days in late September of 2010, the inaugural festival hosted 300 bands in over 30 venues and featured 55 films in and about the trendiest neighborhoods of the city.

The music programming at Philly F/M encompasses multiple genres such as indie, folk, metal, electronica, hip-hop, punk rock, world and much more. Cognizant of the multiple film festivals hosted in Philadelphia throughout the year, Philly F/M’s film programming is geared toward the music fan. The Philadelphia Film and Music Festival engages its audience on multiple levels by programming music and films in unique settings throughout the city.
