Summary
Phoenix Pride is Arizonas Largest Gay and Lesbian festival. Since 1981, Phoenix Gay Pride has grown to draw over 40,000 attendees from all over.
Phoenix Pride will take place April 18-19, 2009 at Steele Indian School Park. (Known as Pride in the Park and supported by the City Of Phoenix). All genres are encouraged to submit. While there is reasonable compensation for performers, some consideration may be made for transportation or other items. Lodging is provided.
There are 35 performance slots available on 5 stages that will provide the community with a large variety of live performances and music supporting the LGBT communities. Past performers include Taylor Dyane, Ce Ce Penniston, Kat De Luna, Evelyn Champagne King, and Expose.
This is a great opportunity for artists to showcase their talents, and perform in front of a lively, broad-ranging audience.
Phoenix Pride promotes unity, visibility and self-esteem among lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender persons. It promotes a positive image for Arizona and the Southwestern United States through community activities and services.
