Summary

Phoenix Pride is Arizona’s Largest Gay and Lesbian festival. Since 1981, Phoenix Gay Pride has grown to draw over 30,000 attendees from all over. Compensation is offered for performers at the Bistro and Main Stage, and 15 performance slots are reserved for Sonicbids acts. Lodging can be provided for out of town acts./n/nFor 30 years Phoenix Pride has been organizing marches, rallies, parades and entertainment/ educational events to celebrate the Phoenix LGBT community. The Phoenix Pride Festival is the largest LGBT event in the state of Arizona held in central Phoenix at Steele Indian School Park, April 16-17th, 2011. At least 15 Sonicbids artists will be selected.


This two day festival is designed to bring our diverse LGBT and allied communities together for a weekend of camaraderie and celebration of our past, present and future while raising monies for Phoenix Pride and its community programs. This event brings over 30,000 attendees with two days of exposure and marketing opportunities for businesses intent on creating relationships within the LGBT community. The festival offers over 300 exhibitors, Arts Expo, Erotic Art World, Wedding Expo and 5 Entertainment Stages (Festival, Community, Bistro, Dance Pavilion and Pride Metro).



Most entertainment slots will be filled with artists who submit through Sonic Bids. Compensation is negotiable and lodging may be provided for out of town acts for Festival Stage and Bistro Stage. For Community, Dance Pavilion and Pride Metro stages we are seeking volunteer entertainers only.



The festival celebrates diversity in music and features local, regional and national performers in genres including everything from A Capella, Acoustic, Adult Contemporary, Alternative, Americana, Blues, Broadway, Cabaret, Celtic, Country, Cover Band, Electronic/Dance/DJ, Folk, Funk, Hip-Hop/Rap, Jam Band, Jazz, Latin, New Age/Ambient, Pop, Punk, Reggae, Rock, Singer/Songwriter, Soul, Urban/R&B, and more. The last 2 year's festival performers included Future Kind, Pauline Pisano, Autumn Kramer Band, Kyle Shields, Ritchie Rhineharte, Bridgette Lyons Band, Joanna Chase Trio, Matt Annecharico Band, the Gin Blossoms, The Cliks, Deborah Cox, Inaya Day, Kat Deluna, Colby O'Donis, Nina Sky, Hello Hollywood, Hot Birds & the Chili Sauce, Coles Whalen, Liquid Blue, Summer Mencher, Terri Nunn and Berlin, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and many, many more.

In 2010 nearly 50 corporations, local businesses and organizations were sponsors of the 30th Annual Phoenix Pride, including Bud Light, Verizon Wireless, KISS FM, ECHO Magazine, Arizona Republic, Instinct Magazine, Sirius Radio, Ft. McDowell Casino, Smirnoff, Jose Cuervo, Red Bull, Pepsi, City of Phoenix and many, many more.

Terms And Conditions

As an entertainer and/or representative of a group of entertainers scheduled to perform on one or more of the aforementioned stages, s/he/they agree to following:

You understand that Phoenix Pride is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization that produces an annual Gay Pride celebration event called Phoenix Pride Festival that is held at Steele Indian School Park, Phoenix, Arizona. Phoenix Pride has legal possession and control of the Festival grounds on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17, 2011, including stages intended for entertainment, educational and other related purposes.

Waive, release and discharge from any and all liability for their death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft or actions of any kind which may hereafter accrue to them and/or their group, Pride and its officers, directors, agents and employees; Prides corporate sponsors and their officers, agents and employees, the City of Phoenix and its officers, agents and employees; and

Indemnify and hold harmless Phoenix Pride and its officers, directors, agents, volunteers and employees; Prides corporate sponsors and their officers, agents and employees, the City of Phoenix and its officers, agents and employees from any and all liabilities and claims made by other individuals or entities as a result of their and/or their actions during the Festival.

Venue - This is an outdoor event on a grass park. Artists will be required to walk short distances on uneven grassy terrain.

Fees- If a performance fee is negotiated it will be a flat rate and artist will have no right to any portion of the admission receipts for the event. If you are selected for the Community, Dance or Metro Stage you are applying to be a volunteer entertainer.

Box Office/ Ticketing- This is a general admission event. Phoenix Pride retains all receipts from admission to the event. Artist has no right of review or approval of any Box office ticketing procedure or process.

Event Sponsorship- Phoenix Pride retains the sole right of approval of any third party event sponsors.

Event Talent Lineup- Phoenix Pride retains the sole right of approval of any other performers for the event.

Billing- The event is a multi-day shared bill with a variety of artists being promoted. There is no Sole Star billing. Phoenix Pride reserves the right for scheduling of all acts. Artists are expected to comply with these schedules.

Production Office- There will be no provisions for any kind of production facilities onsite.

Dressing Room- Phoenix Pride provides most stage areas with a shared dressing room.

Stage, Sound & Lighting- Stage size will depend on which stage you are selected to perform on. Dimensions will be provided by stage manager upon selection. Phoenix Pride hires a professional production company to produce all sound and lighting for the event. We provide company with Artists technical rider requirements in advance and ask that they contact artists or their representatives directly to confirm all requested equipment needs. Riders will only be accepted if selected to play on the Festival Stage.

Sound Check- We do not allow sound checks for Bistro, Community, Dance or Metro Stages.

Photography- You agree that Phoenix Pride will have your permission to photograph and video record all performances on Prides stages and Pride has your permission to use these recordings and photos in future marketing campaigns without further authorization from you.
