Summary

Phoenix Pride is Arizona’s Largest Gay and Lesbian festival. Since 1981, Phoenix Gay Pride has grown to draw over 30,000 attendees from all over. Compensation is offered for performers at the Bistro and Main Stage, and 15 performance slots are reserved for Sonicbids acts. Lodging can be provided for out of town acts./n/nFor 30 years Phoenix Pride has been organizing marches, rallies, parades and entertainment/ educational events to celebrate the Phoenix LGBT community. The Phoenix Pride Festival is the largest LGBT event in the state of Arizona held in central Phoenix at Steele Indian School Park, April 16-17th, 2011. At least 15 Sonicbids artists will be selected.


This two day festival is designed to bring our diverse LGBT and allied communities together for a weekend of camaraderie and celebration of our past, present and future while raising monies for Phoenix Pride and its community programs. This event brings over 30,000 attendees with two days of exposure and marketing opportunities for businesses intent on creating relationships within the LGBT community. The festival offers over 300 exhibitors, Arts Expo, Erotic Art World, Wedding Expo and 5 Entertainment Stages (Festival, Community, Bistro, Dance Pavilion and Pride Metro).



Most entertainment slots will be filled with artists who submit through Sonic Bids. Compensation is negotiable and lodging may be provided for out of town acts for Festival Stage and Bistro Stage. For Community, Dance Pavilion and Pride Metro stages we are seeking volunteer entertainers only.



The festival celebrates diversity in music and features local, regional and national performers in genres including everything from A Capella, Acoustic, Adult Contemporary, Alternative, Americana, Blues, Broadway, Cabaret, Celtic, Country, Cover Band, Electronic/Dance/DJ, Folk, Funk, Hip-Hop/Rap, Jam Band, Jazz, Latin, New Age/Ambient, Pop, Punk, Reggae, Rock, Singer/Songwriter, Soul, Urban/R&B, and more. The last 2 year's festival performers included Future Kind, Pauline Pisano, Autumn Kramer Band, Kyle Shields, Ritchie Rhineharte, Bridgette Lyons Band, Joanna Chase Trio, Matt Annecharico Band, the Gin Blossoms, The Cliks, Deborah Cox, Inaya Day, Kat Deluna, Colby O'Donis, Nina Sky, Hello Hollywood, Hot Birds & the Chili Sauce, Coles Whalen, Liquid Blue, Summer Mencher, Terri Nunn and Berlin, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and many, many more.

In 2010 nearly 50 corporations, local businesses and organizations were sponsors of the 30th Annual Phoenix Pride, including Bud Light, Verizon Wireless, KISS FM, ECHO Magazine, Arizona Republic, Instinct Magazine, Sirius Radio, Ft. McDowell Casino, Smirnoff, Jose Cuervo, Red Bull, Pepsi, City of Phoenix and many, many more.
