The Opportunity
The 2017 Wednesday Nite Live outdoor summer concert series is now booking Sonicbids bands to play throughout the midsummer.
Columbus Park is the place to be during the summer as Stamford Downtown produces great music, great dancing, and great times. This popular event features live music from national and regional headliners and attracts after-work crowds and families. It takes place on four Wednesday nights at 6:30pm, July 12 through August 2. The series has been expanded to include several different genres of music (not just Jazz).
Past performers include:
B.B. King, Boz Scaggs, The Temptations, 5th Dimension, Pat Benetar, George Benson, Delbert McClinton, Bacon Brothers, Roberta Flack, Chick Corea, Bernie Williams, Poncho Sanchez, Tito Puente Jr., Gloria Gaynor, The Commodores
The Band
- Original music only, no cover bands please
- Opening bands that have performed at Wednesday Nite Live in the past are not eligible to perform again
- Applicants must be available to perform on any or all of the following dates: July 12, July 19, July 26, August 2nd
- There is no monetary compensation for opening bands
- All proceeds from merchandise are retained by the artists (must supply personnel to staff the merchandise tent)
