Summary

The 2nd Annual Baton Rouge Soul Food Festival will select 5 acts with a concentration on gospel music, to perform at our 2-day festival in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. 

Held at North Boulevard Town Square, expected attendance is over 2,000 people. Dates and times are Saturday, May 25 from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and Sunday, May 26, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.

The Opportunity

The Baton Rouge Soul Food Festival, produced by The Ultimate Louisiana Party, is a family-friendly event.

Founded in 2011 by Henry Turner, Jr. who brings the culture, excitement, and fun of his home state to audiences around the country. We give musicians a place to showcase their music, songs, spoken word, and visual arts. Since our inception, multiple parties have been held in Texas, Arizona, California, Oregon, Utah, Idaho, and Washington State, featuring local, regional, national and international performances.

The Band

  • Looking for adult and youth gospel choirs to perform in front of a lively, engaged crowd
  • The two-day festival is family friendly and free to the public. Bands should be also.

The Gig

  • Set lengths are approximately 30 minutes for bands and approximately 15 minutes for solo/duos and track acts
  • Each selected act receives 4 VIP tickets worth $25.00 each. A $100.00 value
  • Acts also retain 100% of any merchandise sold
  • Backline gear includes a PA system, drum kit, bass and guitar amps, and 4 vocal microphones.

Compensation

  • Compensation Amount: Up to $100.00
