The 3rd Annual Henry Turner, Jr. Day Music Festival will select 3 acts to perform at this festival in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. 

Held at North Boulevard Town Square, expected attendance is 1,000 people. Date and time is Saturday, October 26 from noon to 7:00p.  The festival is family friendly and free to the public. 

The Opportunity

The 3rd Annual Henry Turner, Jr. Day is a family-friendly event that acknowledges philanthropic organizations, companies and individuals in and around the Baton Rouge area. This years’ honoree is music industry veteran Johnny Palazzotto. As a musician, band leader, singer/songwriter, promoter, activist and musical entrepreneur Henry Turner Jr. is well known for mentoring musical talent. He was honored for his efforts on both October 28, 2015 and 2017 when Henry Turner Jr. Day was proclaimed in the city of Baton Rouge.

The Band

  • The festival is family friendly and as such bands should be as well
  • Looking for a wide range of genres including Alternative, Blues, Jazz, Latin, Pop, R&B, World 


The Gig

  • Each selected act receives 4 VIP tickets worth $25.00 each. A $100.00 value.
  • Acts also retain 100% of any merchandise sold 
  • Backline gear includes a PA system, drum kit, bass and guitar amps, and 4 vocal microphones 
  • Please understand that performance slots are awarded on a first come first served basis
  • Set lengths are approximately 30 minutes for bands and 15 minutes for solo/duos and track acts
