Summary

Amendment 18 is located in the Historic Edgewater Hall. Edgewater Hall was built in 1876 as a Vaudeville, Theatre & Event space by Michael Nynan. During the late 1890’s Bechtel Brewery made its home there and during Prohibition, Amendment 18 was a Speakeasy frequented by the Vanderbilts & Barrymores. Edgewater Hall was acquired & run by Volunteers of America from 1940 to 1970. In the 1970’s it was converted into an antique center by John Gray & Anthony Deorato.

Many movies have been filmed in the club to include the School of Rock and Ethan Hawke Staten Island. Celebrities have celebrated events there to include The Mob Wives, The Bronx Tale’s Clem Caserta & Impractical Jokers Sal, Joe, Murr, and Q.

We're currently looking for three artists to play the third Thursday of every month. 

The Opportunity

Amendment 18 is the Home of Great Food & Great Music. You never know who you will find performing at A18! Staten Island's very own speakeasy is looking for regional acts that fit the unique nature of Amendment 18. 

The Band

We're interested in booking Rock Bands, Underground Rock, Latin Music, and Blues & Jazz bands.

Local and regional acts are welcome to apply

Hip Hop legends include the Method Man, Redman, Cameron, Capodonna, Rae Kwon, Ghostface, Inspectah Deck, Doey Rock, and Heltah Sheltah. The late 90’s into the turn of the century focused on the underground scene to include Hardcore, Ska, Punk and Metal. Acts included John DeServio from Black Label Society, MadBall, Dan Nelson from Anthrax to name a few.



The Gig

We are located on 691 Bay Street, Staten Island. The Staten Island Ferry, and Stapleton and Clifton bus stops are just minutes away from Amendment 18!
