Summary

Steven Blane is a Floridian musician and event producer who is embarking on curating a Songwriter Saturday Afternoon series at two Common Grounds Cafes in Lake Worth and Boynton Beach Florida. Locally-owned Coffee Grounds is an environmentally and socially conscious coffee shop serving delicious organic coffee and eclectic pastries.

This ongoing series will run in the fall/winter due to social distancing practices currently in place. We're looking for 36 local acts that live in South Florida, or plan to tour or vacation down here. This is an amazing opportunity to immerse yourself in a vibrant and tight-knit Southern Florida music community. 

 

The Opportunity

All the events will take place at Common Grounds Cafes in Lake Worth and Boynton Beach Florida. Common Grounds Cafes is a place that strives to provide high-quality coffee while cultivating a community-driven environment.  

Our mission is simple; to create spaces of ‘common ground’ that engage the local community, with an unrelenting desire to produce exceptional coffee and cultivate a local music community. Incorporating live music has always amplified our coffee shops throughout the years and now is the opportunity to be apart of this musical experience! If you in the area or touring through Southern Florida, apply now and we'll make room for you to perform!

The Band

  • We're currently looking for Acoustic, Singer-Songwriter, Solos/Duos/Trios, Jazz, Folk, Blues acts 
  • Acts must be actively playing shows 
  • Looking for local or touring acts
  • Acts must be willing to heavily promote the show if chosen to play



The Gig

  • The series runs January-March at the Common Grounds Cafes in Lake Worth and Boynton Beach Florida
  • There is No Pay, however, we offer our delicious Coffee, Pastry and Pass The Hat for tips
  • There will be three acts on each Saturday
  • Acts must be able to play 40-minute sets
  • Acts are able to sell merch on-site
  • PA provided
  • We will have more dates available in the future but If you're interested in playing, apply and we'll book you if your music fits!
