PLAY: Emerging Artist Competition at Rusty's Surf Ranch in Santa Monica, CA

Rusty's Surf Ranch is looking for up to 20 Sonicbids artists to compete live in their annual Emerging Artist Competition. The winner will receive up to $2000 in cash prizes and the opportunity to perform in front of thousands at a future date.

For over 20 years, Rusty's Surf Ranch has played host to an eclectic mix of rock music, from ska and reggae acts to pop singers to straight up hard-rockers. The fun, casual music venue is located on the world famous Santa Monica Pier and is currently seeking fresh talent to add to its roster for Friday and Saturday night shows. They host an annual emerging talent competition. 20 bands compete in 3 rounds to win monetary prizes as well as for the chance to play the Twilight Concert Series.

• Full bands preferred
• No hip-hop

• 20 bands will be selected to compete live
• A soundman and sound system are available 
• Limited backline consisting of vocal mics and monitors

• Win $2,000 and the chance to showcase at the legendary Twilight Concert Series in front of thousands of people
• Runner up gets $500 and a showcase spot at Rusty's Surf Ranch
• Santa Monica’s CityTV regularly broadcasts a selection of the TCS performances. Which specific concert dates will be broadcast, the date of the Winner’s TCS performance and who will headline have not yet been determined. However, advance arrangements can be made to record your band’s performance on either Rusty’s stage or the Pier stage.
