PLAY: Global Arts Live (MA)

Global Arts Live brings the best international music, contemporary dance, and jazz from around the world to stages across Greater Boston. By putting the spotlight on artistic excellence from all corners of the globe and reflecting the diverse and vibrant community that is Boston, we aspire to transcend borders, cultivate community, and enrich lives.

This is an opportunity of a lifetime for emerging and established Sonicbids artists to come and join our community of music from around the world. We're now booking for the 2020 fall/winter calendar.

We're looking ahead in the 2020 calendar due to social distancing measures currently in place.

Some might know us by our old name, World Music/CRASHarts. We launched our new name, Global Arts Live, in May 2019, to reflect our founding mission and our ongoing commitment to the power of live artistic expression in our global community.  Global Arts Live is not bound by walls. Instead, we feature outstanding artists in the most appropriate settings, from an intimate 200-seat clubs to 2,500-seat theaters and everything in between. 

Each year, we present over 60 concerts in more than 15 different venues across the city. Global Arts Live explores music and dance from Mali, Ireland, South Africa, Brazil, India, Colombia, and beyond. This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in a worldly art community and not only expand your fanbase in Boston, but also to the world.

• We're looking for acts that play original music.  Because we emphasize global music, we're always seeking out traditional music from all parts of the world. We're seeking out music that is fused with Jazz, Blues, Folk, Traditional and World sounds. We're also accepting applications from solo acts
• Acts must be actively playing shows 
• Acts must be willing to heavily promote the show if chosen to play
• All acts applying must meet the criteria that we look for, lyrics, stage presence, style and artists must have a fanbase
• Acts must not have shows in the Boston area 3-4 weeks before or after booking with us

Acts must have a solid online presence and strong fanbase in the greater Boston area.

• We book intimate 200-seat clubs to 2,500-seat theaters and everything in between
• All of our venues are in the Greater Boston, Mass area
• Each year, we present over 60 concerts in more than 15 different venues across the city
• Payment varies for each act
• Payment TBD upon booking
• Backline and PA's are provided at all venues
• A sound engineer is provided
• Bands can sell merch onsite
