PLAY: Gramercy Theatre w/ The New Mastersounds (NYC)

Bring in the new year with The New Mastersounds in NYC!   The New Mastersounds are a British four-piece jazz fusion and funk band from Leeds, England. Over the last 16 years, they have issued ten studio albums, played hundreds of festivals and toured the world.  The band is looking for an exceptional band who can really hype up the crowd and get fans in the mood to celebrate the New Year.  This band must have a strong and dedicated NYC following to play as support for the New Year’s Eve show at the legendary Gramercy Theatre! 

This is a great opportunity for a local, regional or nationally touring act looking to play on a bigger stage in one of the more prestigious rooms in New York. We are looking for a band that fits well musically and has a strong draw and performance history in New York City. 

This is a one time opportunity to apply, and we'll find the band that best compliments New Mastersounds. This is an amazing opportunity to build a relationship with one of Britain's most progressive bands, and start building a fan base and relationships with one of the best venues in town.

We're looking for bands that play original music and that are sonically similar to New Mastersounds.  We're looking for Fusion bands that cross between Jazz, Funk, Blues, Soul, Rock, Psychedelic and Jam band music.

Bands must be actively playing shows 

Bands must have an NYC following

Bands can't book NYC show 6 weeks before or after the gig date

Bands must be willing to heavily promote the show if chosen to play

Bands are able to sell merch on-site

All acts applying must meet the criteria that we look for, lyrics, stage presence, style and artists must have a fanbase

Acts must have a solid online presence 

Pay is determined upon booking

PA provided

Bands need to provide their own backline. 

Capacity +500

Local bands must be able to draw  +150

Bands get access to a green room

Bands will get venue hospitality
