The beauty of Sofar is its secrecy and exclusivity, which brings together a room full of people who want to discover new music. Guests don't know the exact location of the gig until the day before, and they have no idea who is performing until they show up.This creates an audience of die-hard music fans and makes for an intimate listening room environment. Since the shows are secret, bands don't need to leverage their draw or market the show, and they get to play to an audience full of attentive music fans who are seeking new bands. Attendance ranges from 50-100 people depending on capacity.
