Summary

Mindful Music is a non-profit organization, founded to raise awareness about the power of music on mental health and well-being. Established at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience & Human Behavior, we create and produce live performances in unconventional spaces, eye-catching media campaigns, and educational workshops. We're currently excepting applications for 2019-2020.  

The Opportunity

Mindful Music is a curated concert series for wellness & healing. Since 2014, Mindful Music has introduced the community of 80,000 people on campus and health system to over 200 live performances featuring local artists in 15 unique spaces. Improving wellness & healing through music, our mission is to provide opportunities for local artists to connect with audiences who lack access to performances. Our team specifically looks for artists who genuinely want to connect with the audience and have intention behind the music performed.


The Band

We're looking for bands, solo acts who play easy listening and positive music. We're open to many genres.  We love Jazz, Folk, Acoustic, Jazz, Blues, Spoken Word, R&B, Soul, and instrumentals acts, but we're open to other genres if it fits our programming. 

Bands must be actively playing shows 

Bands must be willing to heavily promote the show if chosen to play

All acts applying must come dressed professionally and provide their own equipment

 

The Gig

All concerts are 12:15-12:45pm. Performances are designed to promote stress-relief and healing for health professionals, patients, faculty, & staff, in the middle of the workday
