PLAY: Shrine World Music Venue in NYC (Summer)

Shrine is a multimedia arts and culture venue, founded in 2007 by musicians and music lovers in the music capital of Harlem, USA. We are dedicated to art and culture in all mediums: film, theater, dance, and live music. The Shrine World Music mission is to establish a positive and creative atmosphere for both artists and audiences from all backgrounds.

There are multiple availabilities to play the Shrine throughout the summer. Please send your desired dates and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred dates.

We're located on the east side of Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard (7th Avenue), just below 134th Street. The Shrine is looking to book Sonicbids artists on an ongoing basis throughout the summer.  For live performances, Shrine can accommodate 75 guests fully seated or 200 standing. The Shrine has been home to thousands of bands throughout the years and is a staple music venue in the heart of Harlem, U.S.A. 

• Artists performing variations of world music are preferred, but other genres will be considered as well
• We love Afrobeat, Afropop, Soul, Traditional African, Blues, R&B, Hip-Hop, Spoken Word, World Music, Latin, Acoustic, Rock and Jazz
• Acts must perform original music
• Acoustic performances are preferred
• Solo/duo and full band acts will all be considered
• All members must be age 21+ 

• 4 acts will typically perform each night
• Sets range from 1-2 hours
• Sound equipment (mics, PA's, monitors) will be supplied
• Basic backline (drum set, amps) will be provided

• Performing artists will receive 10% of the bar for the evening and tips
• Artists will also receive 1 complimentary drink from the bar
• Selected artists will be featured in Shrine's newsletter
• Artists can sell merch on-site
