Starbucks at Laird & Eglinton in East York, Toronto is giving local musicians an opportunity to perform at our Starbucks Live music series. Starbucks is the most successful coffee company globally and has been operating since 1971. Since the first Starbucks coffee shop opened in Seattle, WA, the company to date has grown to more than 30 000 coffee shops worldwide. A culture of its own, music has always been an essential part of what makes Starbucks the most successful coffee chain in the world. It is with great pride that we're developing more cultural and musical programs to bring the community together. Starbucks is currently looking for local artists in Toronto to join our unique Starbucks Live music series.
The Opportunity
Located at Laird & Eglinton in East York, Toronto, our Starbucks location is for music lovers and we dedicate ourselves to supporting the Canadian music scene. We welcome local artists that are looking to gain more exposure, play in our comfortable laid back setting. With dedicated local customers, Starbucks and the Leaside community welcome local artists to apply to join our music community and start building your fanbase in the area. Apply now to be apart of our intimate music series, along with delicious coffee, food, and new & old friends.
The Band
We're looking for bands of all genres that have a mellow and stripped-down sound. We love Singer-Songwriters, Folk, Jazz, Blues, Acoustic, R&B, and Soul acts, but we're open to all genres if it fits the Starbucks sound
We're looking for acts that are comfortable to play originals and covers
Acts must be actively playing shows
Bands must be willing to promote the show if chosen to play
Acts must have an online presence
Acts have a local following
Acts must know how to engage an intimate crowd and play at a volume that people can still enjoy their coffee and have a conversation
The Gig
Location 878 Eglinton Ave E, East York, Toronto, Canada
The events are from 6-8 pm
Shows are a guarantee, payment TBD upon booking
Backline and PA's TBD upon booking
All acts get food, drinks, and coffee
