Summary

The fifth annual Plymouth Folk and Blues Festival will take place at the President Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site in Plymouth Notch, Vermont this Labor Day Weekend on Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31st, 2008. The concerts, which feature 7 total performers, will team nationally known stars with Vermont and regionally known musicians. The concerts are free; donation is suggested. The concerts will be held, rain or shine.

The Plymouth Folk and Blues Concerts are looking for submissions from acoustic acts (solo performers or a band with up to three people) to fill out their line-up for this year's festival. 2 spots are reserved for Sonicbids artists.

This is the fifth annual PFBC, and last year's event drew between 400-500 fans. Artists will be paid $250 for their performances, along with private room and board, for non-local acts.

Plymouth Folk was as a 2007 Top Ten Fall Event by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce and was listed in 2006 by the Boston Globe online as the top event in all of New England for Labor Day Weekend. Past performers include Jay Ottaway, Erin Sax, Rebecca Hall, Ken Anderson and Alastair Moock.
