Summary

Plymouth State University, located in Plymouth, NH, is a coed university with approximately 6,800 students enrolled. They are currently accepting submissions from regional and national acoustic, hip hop, metal, country, rock, punk, pop, jazz and rap artists for on campus performances during the Fall 2008 semester. The school typically books up to 20 acts per semester, and compensates artists for their performances with a negotiable flat fee. Artists will also be provided dinner before or after their show and lodging for the night of the performance. Travel is generally not provided.

There are several performance opportunities during the semester:

  • Main Stage- The Main Stage shows are the bigger, higher energy shows on campus. These are typically held in the Fireplace Lounge, Multipurpose Room, or Courtroom depending on the expected attendance. Artists who have a draw of several hundred at the school will be considered, as Plymouth State holds these concerts less frequently.

  • Acoustic Cafe- The Acoustic CafĂ© hosts coffee house style shows. These performances are generally very laid back and intimate. The school is interested in bringing in bigger names but still keeping the shows small.

  • Homecoming- Plymouth State University tries to keep their Homecoming show family friendly, as it is during alumni and family week. They are interested in recognizable regional and national acts.

  • Winter Carnival- The Winter Carnival is very similar to Main Stage. High energy, family friendly acts are encouraged to submit for consideration.
