Popkomm 2006

Popkomm is the international business platform for the music and entertainment industry, taking place in Berlin, Germany September 20 - 22, 2006. Along with the core music market, participants from music-related industries including mobile entertainment, consumer electronics, games, TV, fashion, branded companies and advertising are represented. Popkomm is based on three mainstays: a trade show and an international congress at the exhibition grounds - and music festival taking place in many of Berlin's cutting edge clubs.



Each year, the Popkomm Music Festival showcases over 250 performers from around the world – including signed bands and unsigned artists – for three days in the heart of one of the most edgy club and music scenes in the world. In 2005, there were more than 400 hours of live music and showcasing bands and artists from 23 countries performed in front of more than 16,000 music industry professionals and 70,000 festival attendees.



Online submissions through Sonicbids are open to artists worldwide – and there will be four slots reserved for Sonicbids bands from North America and Australia. These four artists will receive US$1500 (paid upon proof of travel arrangements to Popkomm) and get a full day ticket for the conference and exhibition.



All genres are accepted.
