Artists will go through two rounds of online competition before competing in a live performance in Milan./n/nThe mission of the Pop Me Up Contest is to promote emerging music, and thereby to provide support for the greatest possible number of artists. PoPMeUp Contest is a phenomenon of global scope involving emerging artists and bands of every musical genre including rock, pop, indie, rap, reggae, and more. The goal is to bring great visibility to real people – people who love music – all of it. Winners will be awarded with prestige and prizes TBA provided by Pop Me Up's sponsors.

Out of the total entrants, 500 participants will be selected by a panel of internal quality POP ME UP, which will assess their suitability for transition to Phase 1 of the Contest. The selected participants will then compete with virtually the video clip or audio file presented on www.popmeupcontest.it. There will be 20 online contests featuring 25 acts each.

The twenty participants that move on to Phase 2 will compete in two evenings broadcast live streaming from a TV studio. The Artistic Committee, composed of prominent experts in the field of music and art will select five winners from each night for a total of 10 winners. The final ten winners will perform a final night at Magazzini Generali in Milan in the presence of the public, the Art Committee and a panel of quality Popma Up.

There is a 100 Euro registration fee for bands and a 50 Euro fee for solo artists. This fee will be waived entirely for one band entering through Sonicbids.

This is the idea at the very heart of the entire Contest:

500 artists with zero impact. They are certain that music can help improve the health of our planet and that young people who make music can support this cause and send a meaningful message. That is why certain parts of the Contest will be conducted online and others streamed live, with zero footprint. While giving some ground on the nature of performance itself, it firmly "shouts" about the need for a cleaner world.

The organizers of the Pop Me Up Contest wish good music to everyone.
