Summary

Port Credit in Mississauga is celebrating it's 175th anniversary in 2010. The PC175 Committee is looking for a theme song that captures the Port Credit spirit. The artists of the top 8 songs will be asked to perform their song in front of judges, and the winning song will be recorded at Ghost Rider Studios located in Port Credit. Ghost Rider Studios is also offering to record two other songs at no charge for the winning artist creating a three song sample CD./n/nPort Credit in Mississauga is celebrating it's 175th anniversary in 2010. They will be holding a special "TOP EIGHT" evening in Port Credit near the end of March - beginning of April. Eight Sonicbids artists will be asked to perform their song in front of judges, Dave Antonacci producer, song writer (Marineland, Auto and Boat Show), Terry Brown producer (RUSH, Max Webster, Klaatu) and two more special judges TBA shortly. Please note, this contest is open To Mississauga residents only.



The winning song will be recorded at Ghost Rider Studios located in Port Credit. Ghost Rider Studios is also offering to record two other songs at no charge for the winning artist creating a three song sample CD. It will also be placed in a time capsule. In addition, the winning artist will be asked to play the winning song during the Canada Day celebrations in Port Credit. It will be used during all PC175 activities after it is announced on Canada Day.



The winning artist will also receive a prize package consisting of donations from local music stores. The song and artist bio will also be placed on the PC175 and The Canadian Music Scene websites.
