FEST: Vanport Jazz Festival (OR)

The Vanport Jazz Festival honors the city of Vanport
and the voices that formed our jazz community. We intend to transform Colwood Golf Course into a cultural revival, welcoming internationally renowned artists and breathing new life into Portland jazz.

The festival is taking place on Saturday, Aug. 3rd, 2020 & we're looking for Sonicbids artists to join the lineup! 

Today, the Vanport Jazz Festival intends to carry the torch of those musicians who moved to Oregon for work and filled the air with art.

We pay homage to this legacy by hosting a jazz experience for the modern day. We invite living members of the Vanport community, national-caliber talent, and jazz aficionados everywhere to discover this legacy and experience the revival.

Featured artists include: WAR, Eric Darius, Andy Stokes, Euge Groove, The Queens of Soul Jazz featuring flutist Althea Rene and Saxophonist Jeanette Harris, and Jazz, Funk Soul featuring Jeff Lorber, Everette Harp, and Paul Jackson Jr. 

• Looking primarily for Jazz with R&B, Soul, Funk, Motown influences 
• Artists must have experience playing live shows and have a tight set 
• Artists must be willing and able to promote the event if selected 

• Colwood National Golf Course, Portland, OR on August 3, 2020
• Artists are able to sell merch onsite and keep 100% of the proceeds
• PA system provided, bands must bring their own equipment
