Summary

Published quarterly and supplemented with between-issue web site content, Progression Magazine is the worlds foremost authority on art-rock and all other sub-genres of progressive music. Each 100-pages-plus issue is devoted to news, reviews, interviews and analysis covering a wide range of progressive music artists from around the globe. The coverage realm includes progressive rock/art-rock, progressive metal, avant-garde/experimental, jam band, neo-classical, electronic, fusion, modern jazz, improvisational, free-form, ambient/space/new age, symphonic, progressive folk, progressive rock and other niches of eclectic musical expression.

Musicians who have graced the magazine's cover since Progression began publishing in 1992 include a who's who of classic and contemporary progressive acts: Yes, Jethro Tull, Mahavishnu John McLaughlin, Kansas, ELP, Allan Holdsworth, Steve Morse, Marillion, Iona, The Mars Volta, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Spock's Beard, The Flower Kings, et al.

Progression is distributed internationally by subscription and on select newsstands, with dedicated readers in 42 countries. The magazine is widely considered a vital touchstone for both musicians and fans in the progressive music community, where discoveries are made, ideas are shared, and relationships form.
