Pulse and Light at First Fridays: Venice, CA (Early July)

Pulse and Light is a monthly event held in conjunction with First Fridays in Venice, CA. The local stores, galleries and restaurants are open late and large crowds of people throng the streets. At Pulse and Light there are art boutiques, live painting, food, drinks and music in a beautiful outdoor setting. The event is held off the main street in a private courtyard. They are looking for interesting music in rock/world/folk/art etc., that can be performed semi-acoustically. Walking through the gate you are transported to an exotic world. There is a stage built around an old tree. Attracted by the smell of barbecue and the sound of music, passersby come in the gate and stay to listen and discover a magical and unexpected ambiance. No monetary compensation is offered, but artists have the chance to perform in front of the 400-500 people that come through over the course of the event each month.
