The Purple Fiddle Cafe, Brews and Stage prides itself on upholding a safe, family-friendly environment where people of all-ages can enjoy a high quality live show. They charge a cover at the door that pays for performing bands, most of which are traveling and playing nationally.

The venue plays host to old-time and traditional bands, but also encourage a variety of genres, as long as the songs are family friendly. Bands wishing to play a Friday or Saturday needs to travel with at least three musicians and should be of a high-energy and danceable variety. In addition, bands must come prepared to play 100 minutes of original material (divided into two sets).

Again, The Purple Fiddle encourages families to bring their children to the shows no matter what their age (children under 12 are admitted free). This is a great opportunity for bands, whether traveling or local, to perform in a welcoming environment, where music is strongly appreciated.
